October Monthly Recap

October has been busy as always as we continue to deliver happy healthy babies to Atlanta's families this month, supported postpartum babies coming home and sleep coached a bunch of littles in our community who are now sleeping soundly!

Intown Doula was proud to announce at the start of this month that we've won the Red Tricycle Totally Awesome Award for 2016

Thank you to all of our friends, family and clients for your continued support and love.

We are profoundly thankful each day for the opportunity to make a difference in the birth experiences for families in our area, improving childbirth education, safety and providing support through their transitions as they grow their families.

We visited the Prodoula Share the Vision Conference for 2016 and had the opportunity to attend some of the presentations featuring speakers who are leaders in the industry.

We were able to learn so much from speakers like Erica Patterson of Yellow Jacket Social on social media presence, postpartum recovery from Dr. Meedlen Charles OB/GYN, breastfeeding techniques and information from Linda LeMon RN,IBCLC, CCE and more!

Conference was exciting and gave us a refreshing boost to return home with even more to offer expertise to our Atlanta expectant parents.

We wish our October was full of only high spirits; however, we experienced a devastating loss.

We are devastated and heartbroken over the loss of one of our dear families' baby boy this month. Jonah Ray Macke's precious moments with his mother cannot and will never be forgotten. Upon ending the funeral service for Jonah, his mother released blue balloons into the sky, and it was a truly moving experience. Our most sincere condolences are forever with Jonah's family.

Contributions can be made to the Hope for HIE Foundation in Jonah Macke's name to provide research and support for families affected by hypoxic ischemic enscephalopathy.

Every amount makes a difference and we are honored to stand to support families like Jonah's who were forced to say goodbye to their son too soon. Intown Doula thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting them during this difficult time.
