Let me guess. You're having a baby... and you're kind of freaking out.

Not to worry, friend. I am here to make sure that you feel entirely supported through every sleepless night, every question, every concern, every diaper.

My name is Margaret Mason Tate, but my friends and family call me MMT. I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, earned a BFA from St. Andrews University in North Carolina, and now reside with my son, mother, and dogs in East Atlanta.

I have been a doula my entire life!

Doulas are people who provide families with unbiased, non-judgmental support regardless of their choices they make or the circumstances they choose. This comes really naturally to me, as this is precisely how I was brought up. My mother has led a life of public service for decades, and having me didn't slow her down; whether we were attending Greenville's first Pride Parade or working to create a safe living space for the homeless HIV+ population, I was along for the ride learning that compassionate, non-judgmental support is what can make this world go 'round.

My childcare experience spans decades, and I have held positions with families from babysitter to governess. When I discovered I could apply unbiased support to the world of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I realized what I was meant to do!

Since becoming a doula in 2012, I have assisted over 100 families in welcoming their new babies, with dozens more supported prenatally and postpartum.

In 2014, I transitioned from being The Intown Doula to opening Intown Doula, LLC, Atlanta's premier doula agency. Now I get to work with the best doulas in Atlanta every day, and I couldn't be more excited.

Our team shares the collective experience of having served over 250 families!

I make it my business to provide you with professional, compassionate, FUN doulas who will be your vaginal Gandalf. I have matched dozens of families just like yours with awesome childbirth educators, doulas, placenta encapsulators, pediatric sleep wizards (oops, I mean experts!) and IBCLCs.

Spend an hour with me (in our office in historic Grant Park or via FaceTime or Skype), tell me what you want, and leave it to me.

I'll take care of the rest.
