April Showers Brought May Flowers ... And A Whole Lot Of Other Goodness

April showers bring May flowers, and for Intown Doula, they brought a whole lot of other goodness.

The month of May marked the completion of the Intown Doula Headquarters.

We previously teased our Pinterest Inspiration for the space and have posted some work in progress shots on our social media accounts. We are thrilled to give those who have yet to see the space in person a grand reveal here on our blog!

Intown Doula along with Breastfeed Atlanta, and Lily Sophia Photography held an Open House on May 14th and TONS of people showed up. We raffled an Essentials for the Modern Mom gift bundle valued at over $400, and had a grand old time. All three businesses are very grateful for the support.

We also helped to certify four families in Infant CPR this month. Join our email list of updates on upcoming classes.

Intown Doula also donated over 6,000 diapers to the Atlanta Mission this month.

An Atlanta Mission Representative expressed their gratitude on the organization's behalf:

"Words cannot express how grateful we are for the donation of diapers you made!
We know how hard you worked to make this happen!
Thank you for understanding our need and choosing to bless not only the mothers but our children. A mother being able to provide for a child's basic needs relieves so much stress which results in both a happy parent and child"

As many of you know Intown Doula was nominated for a 2016 APEX Small Business Award under the category 'Emerging Business of the Year'.

We would like to congratulate the winners of this award, The PawStand. Located in Doraville Georgia, the PawStand is a 'Pet-Centric' environment that focuses on the well being of our pets.

Intown Doula is proud to be part of this community and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for enthusiastically embracing us.

We wrapped up the month of May with a good ol' Medieval celebration.

The Intown Doula team headed to the Atlanta Castle to celebrate Richée's Birthday at Medieval Times! We had a wonderful night and we may or may not have made a "crowning" reference as we adorned ourselves with the most fashionable headwear Medieval Times had to offer.

Happy Birthday Richée! We love you!
